I know everyone has a zp story so just post a reply ;D
maybe tell us how you join or what makes zp different ( the best 2 will be consider and recommended for server admin )

when i first joined-
i had been playing ZM for about a day, and i couldn't find a server i enjoyed at all, though i loved the game...
i found the zombie's playground server when browsing around the list and saw there was almost a full server so i figured "Hmm...must be popular? :\" when i got in, read the rules, and started playing, i noticed all but like 3 or 4 people had the [zP] tag in their name so i asked how i could join. was told, ect...
after i had joined the group, i began playing with target, vampy, down, shank, and i think snail...
at first i didnt talk alot, because it was my first time playing the game and i really didnt wanna bother anyone
i also started out in the server with the name "Xarith", until i watched Day of the Dead, then became an uber fanboy of Bub.
i remember back early last year when me and a few others including snail and target would stay up literally like half the day and all night playing on [zP] one night i remember staying up for 2 days straight playing...ahhh those were the days...

This is my story.
I was just a small town girl, living in a loonly world. I took the midnight train goin anyyywhere. Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit. He took the midnight train goin aaaaanyyyyywheeeereee.

BACK IN 19 ODD ELEBENTY 12 WAS WHEN I FIND YA GROUP OF KIDS.


Nope, I can't really remember the first time I found the server, but I can remember what Ross was on about as my earliest memory of zP. We stayed there for about an hour, building barricades, dying horribly and listening to target and some guy called viper on the mic. We started coming back to the server more often and I soon asked about the zP website and how to join up. Aaahh, good times...

i just randomly picked the server and was like THIS IS WinRaR!!!!!! and put it into my favs and went back there everytime cuz all the other servs i tried were fail

Now, to be serious for once.
I can't remember when I first went to a zP server. Some random summer when I was out of work and bored. I thought the server would be filled with grievers and spammers and other random assorted scum of the internet. In reality, I was pleasantly surprised! I played a few maps and liked the server so much, I put it on my favorites! A few maps later, I joined and started posting on the forums! I stuck with zP through it's bleakest moments, knowing that it was simply too damned fun to perish as so many had before it. Now we are back and stronger than ever, and I plan on staying with this group until its, or my, cold bitter end!

It was a cold winter night, my friend came over to say "Hi!", he showed me this mod, and we picked a server, i saw "Zombies Playground" And i joined, to kill me some zombies, i was fascinated how people were friendly, and there was he, Gordon Freeman, who nicely said, to a kid on mic, "Shut the fuck up", as far as i went, they knew how to play, they showed me the tricks, and we were a team, before you said "Bonk!".

The summer just started and I was really into zombies at the time. I downloaded some zombie related mods but among them all I really liked ZM for it's RTS part.

I went to the one server that was full. I found a slowly growing community of zombie killers. I spent a couple of days playing on the same server. On about the third day I had made a friend on the server by the name of [zP] Epic Snail. The more time I spent on the server the more I grew to love the community around it. It soon became harder and harder to leave the server. In the morning I would just be finishing playing with the European players that joined, Vampy and Viper come to mind. (The hours of being the only person in the server with below 30 ping) By the afternoon the other regulars would join. Having a community with people all over the world playing on your server meant you always had the potential for a great time. Shortly after joining the community (Putting the [zP] tag on, easy as pie!) I became an admin and was on for most of the day, I once stayed on playing for 14 hours. ([zP] Target called me crazy, I agreed and when to sleep) I became friends with zP founder Down and Shankintime. With that new friendship I lost the closest friend I had made on the server. Like all things it had to end, and it did. But not forever.

Zombies Playground relaunched and even expanded into other games hosting both a Zombie Master and Garry's Mod Role Play server. At that point I like to think I had become more than just an admin, I helped to setup and maintain the servers. With the launch of the new role play server the "main" zP admins started to give less and less attention to the zm server, sometimes to the point where it would crash or have a game breaking bug and we wouldn't notice till a day or two later. I remember when ever an incident would happen in the zm server we would have small arguments on who should go and ban the person. (I started using rCon to ban people on the ZM server while still playing on the GM server.) This, was a problem. Before long the hassle of dealing with multiple servers with few people took it's tole on the community and the zm server would be empty more times then it was full. The Garry's Mod server it's self was (excuse my french) a bitch to keep running and just about every day was a new problem. Soon we just let zP fall. After a couple of small relaunches that ended after not having as much success as the original, zP became a thing of the past.

Since that I haven't been a large part of zP, although it has launched a Minecraft server in my absence. As well as [zP] Down founding a XBox team. (Evil Gaming Empire, search them up on youtube) Maybe zP isn't dead and just need a supporting community to get back on it's feet.

Lately I've spent most of my time on XBox (Epicil if you wanna add) and with my recently formed GameBattles team.

One day zP will rise again. There's work to be done, games to be played, friends to be made, and of course zombies to kill.
